The University’s new Data Centre Strategy will invest in our hosting capacity, new infrastructure for compute and storage, our staff, and the tools we use to manage infrastructure.

A hybrid cloud strategy has been developed that will optimise the use of Software-as-a-Service, Public Cloud and a significant investment in a new Private Cloud infrastructure. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Architecture, this role will be part of the team that delivers the strategy.

You will be an experienced solution architect with in-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience of successful delivery across a number of areas including infrastructure, virtualisation and application deployment.

The role will have a strong focus on supporting the delivery of a new private cloud infrastructure while exploiting, where beneficial, commercial cloud services. Hence experience in these areas is desirable.
