Research Coordinator

We are seeking a fixed term (12 months) Research Coordinator to cover an internal secondment. We would like an energetic and enthusiastic person with excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to join the research intensive Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (FMHS) in the pivotal role of Research Coordinator.

This role involves overall operational facilitation of the Faculty's research through ensuring completeness and timeliness of submissions to both internal and external funding bodies. Working closely with researchers to ensure their applications meet University and funder guidelines and coordination of the Faculty's internal funding rounds and the `flag ship' summer studentship programme are key components.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years in a related position in a large complex organisation preferably in the public or higher education sectors, have excellent computer skills, are able to multi-task and work independently. They should preferably have a Tertiary qualification or relevant experience and the ability to build relationships and communicate confidently with key stakeholders therefore strong interpersonal skills are essential. 

Knowledge of national and international funding opportunities and previous experience in the research environment would be highly valuable.
