The University of Auckland Business School is one of Asia-Pacific's foremost business schools, known for the relevance and impact of our research and scholarship and the quality of our people, programmes and partnerships. The Business School is accredited by AACSB International, EQUIS, AMBA, the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, and CPA Australia.

The University of Auckland Business School is seeking an experienced marketing and brand specialist that provides flexibility with the opportunity to work on a suite of challenging and interesting brands as part of a well-established, award winning and highly functioning Communications & Marketing Team.

As a Senior Marketing Adviser, reporting to the Communications & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategies and briefs with your internal stakeholders across all of our Graduate School of Management brands which includes our Business Masters programmes, Executive Education, MBA and Post Graduate Diploma programmes and our Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Exceptional communication skills and a strong track record of effective delivery of campaigns across all marketing communications platforms will ensure you build credibility quickly. You will work closely with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the brief is on point and the campaigns and marketing output is successful.

You will be passionate and have a flair for all things marketing across multi-channels. You will be genuinely interested in your stakeholder’s business objectives and be able to build rapport across the faculty and with central service divisions.  Your mature outlook and street smarts will be put to good use as you navigate this complex and interesting group of brands.  To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with a variety of clients and an education sector, professional services background or public sector experience will be of particular interest.

A tertiary degree in marketing is strongly preferred and previous agency experience as an Account Manager dedicated to managing multiple brands and juggling the demands of a variety of stakeholders and personalities will be highly regarded. Well-honed project management skills are of paramount importance and an analytical bent is necessary for you to be effective in this position.

This role will provide you with broad marketing exposure in a team where personal development is encouraged and you will work on everything from video campaigns to photoshoots, social and digital outputs as well as print.  We can guarantee you that no day will be the same.   You will have the opportunity to work on various projects outside of the key requirements of your role and the position will provide you with a real opportunity to use your marketing skills, develop your career and work with a talented and passionate team at New Zealand’s leading university.

The University has an equity policy and welcomes applications from all qualified persons.

The University is committed to meeting its obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi and achieving equity outcomes for staff and students.

Applications close: Monday 5th December 2016.
