International Office

Following recent review and restructure of the International Office, creation of new roles and an injection of significant additional resources, there are now opportunities to apply for great new positions at the University.

Deputy Head of International Student Recruitment

The Deputy Heads of International Student Recruitment are responsible for helping shape and implement the University’s international recruitment strategy through supporting the development of coherent and realisable market plans.

Leading two parallel teams within the International Recruitment team, the Deputy Heads are responsible for supporting the growth of a balanced student population of students for the University. The Deputy Heads of International Student Recruitment must be able to work across undergraduate and graduate student recruitment and need to be able to work effectively with colleagues in schools, faculties and in professional services.

The role requires significant travel balanced against management responsibility for a team who travel equally if not more. The Deputy Heads of International Student Recruitment must be comfortable working across many markets and should have direct experience of key student recruitment areas.

Interviews and presentation

Candidates invited to interview will be asked to present, for no more than seven minutes, and with no visual aids, on the following topic:

“Management of a mobile team brings with it some specific challenges. Discuss the communications structure which will ensure all team members remain consistently on-message.”
