Animator, 2D (Computer Animation)

We are seeking an experienced Animator, 2D (Computer Animation), with relevant and up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging visual effects technologies. This is an important role helping to visualise, illustrate and design content for film and interactive learning assets and learning journeys to complement the course designs developed by colleagues within the digital learning team.

We are looking for someone with an innovative, fresh and ground-breaking approach to the creation of unique, immersive and transformative user experiences; this person will help the team to shape new and engaging learning journeys.  With experience of working predominantly in 2D with some additional 3D work, the animator will work collaboratively to develop these memorable user activities and reusable templates within the University’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to support the creation of compelling e-learning content.  

This exciting role will suit a dynamic individual with proven experience of animation and design, accompanied by excellent communication and organisational skills.
