Senior Instructor (Locum), Anaesthesiology

Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research and health care of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region. The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital has well-equipped investigative services and provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities.

The Department of Anaesthesiology provides anaesthetic management for all procedures on a 24-hour basis, including emergency care. Pre-operative anaesthesia assessment is accomplished through the outpatient Anaesthesia Clinic and on-call inpatient consultations. The Department offers special expertise in Paediatric, Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgical, Vascular and Anaesthesia for outpatients. The Department also provides continuing critical care services through the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In addition, anaesthesiologists participate in acute and chronic pain management.

Responsibilities

You will have an independent consultant status and will be expected to undertake under-graduate and post-graduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities.

Requirements

You must have completed a structured post-graduate training from a reputable institution and possess FCPS, FRCA, American Board or equivalent qualification.  In addition, you should possess at least two years of post- qualification/ fellowship experience in a reputable institution and have demonstrated scholarship through research, publications and/or contribution to education.
