ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primarily assist in departmental responsibilities with regard to product safety and reliability on new product development programs. Assist in matters concerning previously manufactured/field products, product related legal proceedings and Government/Trade Association matters, as assigned.

Including:


  • Working with the Engineering Design team to ensure products are safe to operate and comply with applicable standards.
  • Investigating field reports, managing product safety campaigns and leading continuous improvement for new product development.
  • Addressing inquiries from outside entities (end-users, Inspection agencies, regulatory bodies, etc.)
  • Investigating reported incidents on my clients products and communicating this information to the appropriate personnel. PS&R members also provide technical assistance to legal counsel representing my client.
  • Responsible for answering questions relating to the safe and proper operation of my clients products, and also answer questions regarding operator training 6. Receiving and reviewing requests relating to the use of my clients products in applications for which they were not originally intended.
  • Receiving and reviewing requests for proposed modifications.
  • PS&R develops and controls inspection forms relating to products.
  • Review all marketing, parts and services memorandum that are distributed to end-users.
  • Review all operating, service, and parts manuals for content and accuracy.
  • Assist in preparation of company defense information for product litigations, including interaction with other company departments and outside entities assisting in the company defense.
  • Assist on other specific programs/projects in the course of departmental operation, as assigned by the department head.

  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), HND or Equivalent

    Industrial Experience considered for exceptional candidates

    Minimum of Incorporated Engineer or with sufficient experience to

    work towards IEng/CEng status

    3 years of related Engineering experience

    Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills

    including Technical Report writing
