Job Details
The project revolves around screening for and characterising protein-protein interactions (specifically ion channels (TRPA1, TRPP2, TRPC1 and TRPV4)) and membrane receptors in lung adenocarcinoma. A solid understanding of cell signalling, cell biology, neurobiology (calcium signalling and osmo-mechanical stress studies) and cancer biology (preferably Blood Brain Barrier and Stem Cells) with evident publications in the field are essential.
Extensive experience as a postdoctoral researcher in labs specialising in cancer biology and ion channel-related projects with experience in Cloning/CRISPR design, electrophysiology, calcium imaging, slice culture, immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy) is required. The role also involves frequent travels to collaborators’ sites located in the United States and industrial collaborations with pharmaceutical companies.
