Responsibilities:
• Management support
• Project logistics
• Project finances
• Communication
• Data collection
• Translation
• Ad hoc tasks
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12
-
Two years’ experience in assistance of academic research projects, including field support for students and academic staff, translation, and data collection
-
Two years’ experience in assistance in project management, activities, such as logistics, finances, and communication with actors
-
Three years’ experience in University-community engagement
Job Specification
Other Competency Requirements:
-
Computer literacy: Basic knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel ,PowerPoint, Skype and GroupWise
-
Transcription skills: Ability to transcribe from Setswana to English and vice versa following basic transcription rules

Facilitator /interview skills: Ability to facilitate and guide group discussions and individual interviews

Research skills; Literature Review , different research approaches and designs, research ethics , data management , data collection and analysis, report writing

Driver’s license is advantageous

Demonstration of language proficiency in order to function optimally in the various multilingual environments of the NWU
