Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI)
ITALI is headed by a Pro Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) [PVC (T&L)] and is loosely organised around two themes. The first is teaching excellence and includes digital learning. The second is Analytics and includes UQx. However, the unit will operate on a project basis and all members of the unit may be expected to contribute to any project.
The role
The focus of the position is to support academic staff across the University with the uptake, development and evaluation of e-learning technologies, resources and pedagogies to enhance teaching quality, and support students learning in the University's coursework degree programs. This position provides a single point of contact for staff (individuals and groups) related to eLearning systems and tools with particular reference to those projects and academic staff developing courses for online distribution through the edX massive open online learning system.
The person
Applicants should possess relevant tertiary qualifications and education/training and experience in developing on-line resources to support student.
Applicants should have expertise and significant experience in the use of learning platforms and associated software for the design, development, implementation and evaluation of on-line learning resources and environments to support student learning.
Remuneration
This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range$81,883 - $89,559 p.a, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9% (total package will be in the range $89,662 – $98,067 p.a.).
