The Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences School of Population Health

The section of Social and Community Health based on the University of Auckland Tamaki Campus is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to join the team that teaches in a number of the School's programmes that focus on addidtion studies. The successful candidate will specifically co-ordinate and teach postgraduate, Certificate and diploma courses in alcohol and drug studies.

Applicants must have

  • appropriate postgraduate qualifications in a relevant social or health sciences discipline such as psychology, sociology, nursing or medicine
  • practice experience working with clients affected by alcohol, drugs and other addiction issues
  • established or developing advanced knowledge in one specific area of working with clients with addiction issues
  • Have knowledge of course design, delivery and assessment

This is a part-time position 0.5 FTE ( 20 hours per week)
