Job Details

The Student Marketing Office is seeking to appoint an Enquiries Assistant to join our Enquiry Team. The Enquiry Team is responsible for enquiry management between the University and enquirers and applicants (both undergraduate and postgraduate, based in the UK and worldwide), along with their influencers, in respect of a wide-range of undergraduate courses and postgraduate programmes. This is a relatively new team and you will have the opportunity to be involved with its development.

You will be the first point of contact for all prospective students and their influencers. You will play a key role in building relationships and providing support, with aim to raise awareness of the University of Bristol, encourage applications and conversion of enquirers through the application process (application to offer and to acceptance). This will involve multiple communications channels – including telephone (including targeted telephone campaigns to offer holders), email, social media and face-to-face, providing high levels of customer service and ensuring that service levels are met.

Working in a team of six, you will need exceptional communication and organisational skills in order to coordinate information from a variety of sources and triage queries to identify where these may be resolved at the initial contact, and when to signpost/guide enquirers to other areas within the University. You will be expected to contribute to the Enquiry Team knowledge base and acquire specialist knowledge to support the work of the team. You will be expected to support the wider work of the division such as assist on open days and with other recruitment/marketing activities as required.

This role is based in a friendly, fast-paced team and the post-holders will be required to use a variety of databases to work on multiple communications channels running concurrently, therefore planning and organisational skills are essential, as are interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate on complex issues with a variety of users. We are looking for candidates with excellent writing and telephone skills, including the ability to tailor communications to the needs of particular markets.
