Details

As a result of a new five year grant award from the UK funding agency, EPSRC, a PhD position is available in a highly topical area of semiconductor physics and optics research. The focus of the PhD will be on carrying out new spin related physics in integrated circuit geometries. The project will open up new directions towards communication between spins in on-chip circuits, the basis of a solid state quantum network, our long term goal. The forefront research, carried out in very well-equipped laboratories, will involve photonics, quantum optics and circuit design all carried in close collaboration with device fabrication teams.
