The successful candidate will provide support for the Northeast US territory as a Field Application Specialist responsible for the technical sales support of our high content imaging (HCS) systems. The primary responsibility is to work with Sales team to meet or exceed territory sales, orders and expense targets for all product lines. Candidates must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and target orientated individuals who thrive on the independence and variety offered by a field sales role.

Responsible for regional Imaging pre- and post- sales activities, including but not limited to the following:

• Provide direct technical support to Imaging Sales Team and customers for assigned product line(s) and within assigned geography.
• Work closely with Sales Specialists, Service colleagues and Customers in order to provide superior customer support at all stages of the sales cycle.
• Demonstrate a strong, working technical knowledge of entire Imaging product portfolio, scientific applications involved and end markets.
• Perform imaging Workshops, Seminars, Demonstrations and related events to generate product interest and lead formation.
• Participate in pre-demonstration and sales lead / customer qualification visits.
• Perform both web-based and onsite (wet) Instrument demonstrations.
• Organization, management, maintenance and coordination of demonstration equipment inventory.
• Perform Instrument demonstrations, technical presentations/seminars, and technical trainings.
• Provide quotation generation support to sales team
• Provide post-demonstration customer follow up (e.g. formal demo reports) and post-sale technical support.
• Demonstrate customer commitment through regular customer follow-up, timely complaint resolution and by acting as Voice of Customer (VOC) as appropriate.
• Increase awareness of PerkinElmer Imaging solutions within assigned territory through frequent and regular engagement with customers.
• Provide support as needed to the local sales team in lead generation, customer qualifications and in closing orders.
• Conduct and/or coordinate new installations and customer trainings in conjunction with Service colleagues.
• Generate new and repeat sales by providing technical support, sales, and technical information in a timely manner.
• Proactively mine territory for new sales opportunities through active prospecting in conjunction with Sales colleagues.
• Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
• Work effectively and productively within team centric-environment.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Abide by ethical sales practices in accordance with corporate policy.
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
