Ref: 733
Reporting directly to the University Registrar, the person appointed to this senior position shall be responsible for the overall management of the Department of Committees Administration at the University. The position entails the provisioning of professional and effective secretariat function to the key governance structures of the University such as the Council, Senate, Institutional Forum, Executive Management and their respective sub-committees
Minimum Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification at a minimum level of NQF 6
- Five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory/managerial position
- Experience in minute taking, preparation of reports and compilation of meeting agendas
- Knowledge of legislation pertaining to higher education
- Excellent all round writing, communication and computer skills

Summary of duties
- Supervise and provide professional guidance to staff performing secretarial functions at the University
- Attend meetings of key governance structures for the purposes of providing an accurate record of proceedings and compilation of action lists for members
- Compile detailed agendas of meetings with appropriate documentation
- Liaise with senior management and members of governance structures on various committee related matters
- Oversee travel arrangements for members of governance structures
- Provide dates of various functions and meetings for inclusion in the annual calendar
- Keep track of membership
Salary: R278700 to R466512 p.a, plus benefits
