Do you get excited about developing data models, ETL processes, and visualisations that will help decision makers grapple with those challenging business questions? Are you looking for an intermediate role in BI with great professional development opportunities? If so, the Business Intelligence & Reporting Services team (BIRS) at the University of Auckland has just the role for you.
BIRS is part of the University’s Information Technology Services group that is committed to being a world-class leader in providing IT services in the tertiary sector. As a member of the BIRS team you will deliver high-quality BI solutions by working with IT teams and internal customers in a diverse and exciting environment. The successful candidate will need to have strong technical skills and excellent communication skills to be able to engage with business and technical users.
We're looking for people with capability in the following areas:
- Minimum 1 year experience in Business Intelligence roles
- Proven experience in PL/SQL
- Experience of unit and system testing, and quality assurance, and documentation
- Skilled in DW methodologies and techniques
- Experience of SDLC and agile development methodologies
- Preferred to have some prior experience in Oracle Warehouse Builder or Wherescape Red, enterprise reporting tools (like MicroStrategy), and ERP systems (especially PeopleSoft)
