Continuing on the success of the NIHR-Clinical Lectureship scheme we are able to invite further applications for a post in academic orthopaedic surgery at the School of Clinical Sciences, University of Bristol and Severn Postgraduate Medical Education partnership.
The Clinical Lectureship is designed to provide postdoctoral support for an orthopaedic surgeon-in-training who has completed or will have completed a higher degree (PhD, MD or equivalent) prior to starting the post. It provides 50% salary support to allow the clinician to set aside time to develop their academic skills with the remaining 50% funding provided for clinical training.
The Lectureship is available for a maximum of four years and should enable the completion of clinical training, as well as the attainment of further support for research (e.g. intermediate or postdoctoral fellowship or personal grants) and experience in teaching.
