Job Details

We are seeking administrative support for the UNBLOCS study (UriNary oBstruction relieved by Laser Or Conventional Surgery). UNBLOCS is a NIHR HTA-funded randomised controlled trial which aims to determine the clinical and cost effectiveness of standard surgery versus laser surgery, for men with benign enlargement of the prostate. The trial operates in 7 NHS hospitals across the UK and will end in February 2018.

Based within the Bristol Randomised Trials Collaboration (BRTC), a UKCRC-registered trials unit, the post holder will provide administrative support to the UNBLOCS trial and immediate team members. In particular the post holder will be logging, filing and organising trial paperwork, assisting in tracking patient follow ups, and with data cleaning and data entry as needed. S/he will also be required to work effectively with research and clinical staff in the School and across the UK at multiple UNBLOCS centres. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
