Faculty of Science - Biological Sciences (Ecology, Evolution and Behavioural research group)

The School of Biological Sciences at The University of Auckland are seeking a highly motivated and capable laboratory technician to provide undergraduate teaching and research support to the City Campus.

As part of the Ecology, Evolution and Behavioural group you will take on a varied role supporting undergraduate teaching and research laboratories at City Campus. 

Applicants should have experience culturing filamentous fungi and yeasts, and with yeast genetics and metabolomics. HSNO and Containment laboratory compliance experience would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching, research laboratory management and Health and Safety initiatives. An ability to plan, organise, multitask, prioritize work demands and to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills are essential requirements for this position.
