Job Details

ALSPAC is a large birth cohort study founded in the early 1990s that has collected comprehensive and detailed information on study children and their parents from pregnancy through to adulthood.

We are looking for an experienced nurse for an exciting, new, world-wide, multi-centred asthma study.  In this role, you will be the primary contact point for the participants taking part in the ALSPAC arm of the research study.  This is a varied and enjoyable role, which will give the successful applicant the opportunity to start or develop their career in clinical research fieldwork.

The post holder will organise and run clinics to collect data on ALSPAC study participants (now aged around 25 years of age) and will involve undertaking a range of respiratory measurements and tests including spirometry and allergy testing.  Although experience of respiratory care would be advantageous, the role is suitable for anyone with general nursing experience as we can offer a comprehensive training programme.  If you would like further information about this role please contact Jill Allen, Clinic Manager on 0117 3310035 or email jill.allen@bristol.ac.uk

The post is opened ended until 30th June 2018.
