The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Advancement)
The University of Queensland (UQ) has a rapidly growing record of attracting philanthropic support for its activities. The Advancement Office of the University is responsible for an ambitious fundraising agenda incorporating extensive community engagement and public relations. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Advancement) leads the Advancement Office and progressively delivers a culture of public engagement to support UQ's mission and goal of becoming one of the world's preeminent public research universities.
The role
An outstanding opportunity exists for a Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Advancement) to lead the UQ advancement team, to develop and execute strategy and to manage fundraising functions and related support services of the University. A key role of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Advancement) will be to attract and sustain substantial philanthropic investment in the University.
The person
Applicants should have outstanding strategic skills including the ability to develop, articulate and sustain a shared vision and to implement it to achieve real outcomes. They should also have a proven track record in campaign planning and coordinating all advancement activities and giving programs. The person should possess outstanding communication skills in order to successfully develop corporate, alumni and foundation relations, and to engage internal and external stakeholders.
Remuneration
This is a full-time appointment for a fixed-term of 5 years. A competitive salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
