This post is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and able research associate/senior research associate to join a multidisciplinary academic team in the Academic Unit of Primary Health Care within the School of Social and Community Medicine (Faculty of Health Sciences). The REPROVIDE project, commenced in February 2016, led by Professor Gene Feder and funded by an NIHR programme grant, aims to improve how healthcare professionals respond to adult patients who experience or perpetrate domestic violence and to their children. Two randomized controlled trials will test the effectiveness of a training and referral program to general practice staff about women, men and children affected by domestic violence (workstream I); and the effectiveness of a group programme for men perpetrating domestic violence (workstream II). http://www.bristol.ac.uk/primaryhealthcare/researchthemes/reprovide/

The successful researcher will contribute to the development, preparation and conduct of the IRIS+ pilot and trial in workstream I by developing data collection tools, planning and organising fieldwork, collecting qualitative data (interviews, focus groups and observation) and quantitative data (pre/post questionnaires), contribute to the analysis of data, writing up and dissemination. The successful post-holder will work in close collaboration with the workstream I research fellow and co-PI (Eszter Szilassy). The workstream I co-PI (Emma Williamson), the programme manager (Jayne Bailey) and the CI (Professor Gene Feder) will support the postholder.
