The School of Psychology is one of the largest and most prestigious schools of psychology in Australia, and its strong reputation is built on excellence in both research and teaching. The School's Clinical Psychology Program has been in existence for over 25 years.

The role

The School of Psychology is currently seeking a Placements Manager to manage clinical psychology externships for students on the Master of Clinical Psychology and the Doctor of Psychology programs. This involves matching students to externships, providing support to students and field supervisors to ensure that externship requirements are met, keeping accurate records, and developing new externship opportunities to meet increased demand.

The position is currently occupied on a job-share basis, sharing with another 0.4 FTE appointment.

The person

Applicants will be eligible for registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and have a minimum of three years' professional experience working as a clinical psychologist. The appointee will be familiar with a broad range of organisations providing a variety of specialised psychological services, and will have high level communication and organisational skills.

Remuneration

This is a part-time (0.4 full time equivalent), continuing appointment at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be pro-rata in the range $90,107 - $101,179 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $105,426 - $118,379 p.a.).
