UK Life Science - Finance Direction with Commercial Focus

We are working with a renowned leader in Life Science development, to build up a new team in the UK market. With proven strengths across Diagnostics, Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals worldwide, this company has demonstrated its ability to move with the times while investing in innovation.

Combined with strengths in product development, the company understands the importance of commercialization. Unlike some firms with new market entries, management are not afraid to invest in the right people for their team, knowing that it will bring more success in the end.

As a result, we have been engaged to find the best candidate for a position with unusual scope - for strategy, for financial control, and for business development. Within a new business unit, heading up the commercial introduction of products in Medical Aesthetics (both pharmaceutical and devices), you will work with a Sales Manager and a Marketing Manager to direct overall strategy for the product line in the UK. In addition to this, you will assess new ventures as a finance director, and proactively grow business using your own network.

If you can bring:

  • Readiness for a financially leading position, either with an accountancy background or with previous P&L management experience,
  • Experience or background in the medical aesthetics or similar non-Rx market,
  • A strategic mindset with strong commercial understanding,

And you are ready to take on a role offering:

  • Overall strategic control, with the prospect of leading the business unit within 2 years,
  • Scope to develop business on your own terms, both on the ground and in resource allocation,
  • The speed and variety of a startup with solid investment and backing from a blue-chip pharma company,
