About the project:
The project "Centrality Measures: from Theory to Applications" lays in the intersection of game theory, network sciences, and algorithmics. The project concerns centrality measures, which indicates the most important nodes in networks (e.g., social, terrorist, or biological networks). The main goal of the project is to propose a systematic, axiomatic approach to existing centrality measures and building upon that selecting the best measures in real-world applications.The project is implemented in Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, University of Warsaw in years 2016-2018. The principal investigator is Oskar Skibski.
Conditions: PhD scholarship, 4000 PLN/month, is for 19 month, starting from March 2017 until September 2018.
Recruitement procedure: Committe appointed by the principal investigator will select students awarded with the scholarship. With selected candidates committe will conduct an interview. The application should consist of a scientific CV and one-page description of research achievements (if applicable – they are not required).
