Job Details
Leeds College of Art has played a central role in providing specialist education in art, design and the crafts for 170 years and has developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students.
Working with the Programme Director for Fashion and Textiles the Course Leader will be responsible for the vision, development and writing of the course specification and following validation for the planning, delivery and organisation of the course. They will be responsible for the quality and enhancement of the learning experiences within specific modules across the course and will work with a course team to support and prepare students for careers in the fashion industry. Applicants must be able to demonstrate independence and competence in leading and managing an undergraduate course and have ability to teach at all levels within the overall programme.
The successful candidate will need to be educated to a minimum of Masters Level, have significant knowledge and expertise of fashion branding and communication. This expertise will have ideally been acquired through academic practice and experience in the industry or through consultancy projects.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a level of experience in curriculum development and management and be expected to demonstrate research activity and undertake relevant research on an ongoing basis.
