The Faculty of Science at the University of Auckland is the largest and most highly ranked science faculty in New Zealand. School of Psychology

The School of Psychology is the largest in New Zealand and has international research leaders across a wide range of research fields, including cognitive neuroscience and social, clinical, developmental, behavioural, and evolutionary psychology. We have professional postgraduate programmes in clinical psychology, applied behaviour analysis, and speech science. The School has extensive research space and a significant investment in research infrastructure, and has just moved into a new building with state-of-the-art facilities. We strive to be an inclusive and collaborative community of scholars.

The position

We are inviting applications for a lectureship in Health Psychology or Organisational Psychology (equivalent to tenure-track Assistant Professor). Appointees should have a PhD in Psychology or a related discipline, as well as demonstrated research achievements related to Health Psychology or Organisational Psychology. We are particularly interested in applicants who can connect with existing research and teaching strengths in the School (for more information, see our web page at psych.auckland.ac.nz). Applicants will need to demonstrate a capacity for achieving research excellence, gaining external research funds, and contributing to the development of research and teaching programmes within the School. Appointees should be ready to contribute to teaching in Health or Organisational Psychology. A willingness to contribute to the teaching of Research Methods would also be an advantage. Appointees should also have the capacity to teach students from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
