Leeds Musculoskeletal Biomedical Research Unit (LMBRU) is an NIHR funded world leading centre for translational research with the aims of preventing disease and disability in immune mediated inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, and improving the treatment of osteoarthritis. Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPI/E) activities are fundamental to the research activities of LMBRU.

The PPI/E Manager will take lead responsibility for PPI/E within LMBRU. This will include facilitation of patient involvement activities at all stages of the research process and management of the public engagement events programme. The PPI/E Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing a PPI/E strategy to progress this work further, development of PPI/E training and evaluation of PPI/E activities. They will also manage LMBRU communication activities and materials for a range of audiences.

You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have experience of developing and delivering effective PPI/E activities within a research, health or higher education environment, including organisation of events. You will have an ability to think strategically, and experience of evaluating the impact of activities and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

University Grade 7 (£32,004 - £38,183 p.a.) depending on qualifications and experience.
