Job Details

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have an established background in statistics, applied mathematics, theoretical computer science or a related subject, with a substantial computational component?

You will be one of three research fellows working within EPSRC funded project QuantiCode, with the aim of developing novel inference and visualization techniques to transform people’s ability to analyse quantitative and coded longitudinal data. The project involves collaboration with seven local/national organisations from industry and the public sector and is based in the new £15m Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (LIDA).

You will be part of an active data analytics community in the School of Mathematics (in the top 10 in REF2014), and your work will involve developing new statistical and computational methods in the area of analysis of coded longitudinal data and designing adaptive methods for parallelisation of statistical procedures.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences holds the Athena SWAN Bronze Awardin recognition of our success in recruiting, retaining and developing/promoting women in Science, Engineering and Technology (SET). The School of Mathematics also offers a number of family-friendly employment practicesthat are designed to enable a good work-life balance.
