Job Details
The Registrar & Secretary is a key member of the University executive, with responsibility for the effective leadership, organisation and delivery of a broad range of business critical services, including the Academic Registry, Human Resources, Commercial Services, Estates and Campus Services, the Library, Information Services, External Relations, Corporate Planning, Research and Enterprise Services and Equality and Diversity.
As University Secretary, the successful candidate will be a trusted advisor and critical friend to the Chair of Council, Council Members as well as the Vice-Chancellor and will play a central role in the development of institutional strategy, policy and good governance.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, innovative and forward looking individual to lead the key enabling functions of a high-performing global university. The University is therefore seeking to attract a strong strategic leader with a first-rate intellect and senior management experience gained in a comparable environment. A proven record of delivering successfully within the context of professional services and an understanding of governance and high performing Boards, combined with an appreciation of the global higher education arena will be essential.
