A postdoctoral position (2 years) is open in the laboratory of Dr. Christophe Guilhot within the department “Tuberculosis & Infection Biology“ at the Institut de Pharmacologie et de Biologie Structurale, CNRS and
Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse (France).

The candidate will conduct research on mycobacterial pathogenicity using various approaches including bacterial genetics, cell biology and animal model infection. The successful applicant will work in a dynamic research institute involving more than 70 microbiologists, biochemists, molecular biologists and cell biologists working on various aspects of mycobacterial virulence and host-mycobacteria interactions (http://www.ipbs.fr/).

Applicants must have a PhD in microbiology, cell biology or immunology with strong interests in the area of infectious diseases. The project will involve genetic engineering of mycobacteria, high throughput sequencing, and work with animal models. Therefore, previous experience in one of these field will be preferred.
