About Cancer Research

As the AACR’s most established peer-reviewed Journal, this high-impact publication includes original research, reviews, and opinion pieces, with a primary focus on basic and preclinical research. The scope of the Journal is captured in its subsections, which focus on molecular and cellular pathobiology; tumor and stem cell biology; microenvironment and immunology; prevention and epidemiology; therapeutics, targets, and chemical biology; and integrated systems and technology.

Cancer Research publishes over 700 articles per year in a total of 24 issues. Total annual online accesses to the Journal’s website exceed 30 million.

The AACR provides basic financial support for the Editor-in-Chief. Because the support offered by different institutions varies widely, interested individuals are encouraged to contact the appropriate office of their employer to ensure the feasibility of his or her application.

According to the bylaws of the AACR, the appointment of the Editor-in-Chief is made by the Board of Directors. Interviews will be conducted by phone. The selected candidate will be expected to disclose any potential conflicts of interest prior to appointment and annually thereafter throughout his or her term of service. Applications will be accepted via e-mail only.
