Funding is initially available for three years and ESR is expected to be enrolled in a PhD programme.

A key objective of the FOIE GRAS network is to better understand the metabolic mechanisms and treatments behind NAFLD. The post-holder will have some scope to adapt the project based on personal interests.

The post-holder will complete a research project in collaboration with researchers at the Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Lisboa under the supervision of Dr. Cecilia Rodrigues at FFUL, with additional supervision of Dr. Carina Prip-Buus at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM), France and Dr. Andreas Normann at the Mediagnost, Germany.
