The International Office is responsible for developing and implementing the international strategy to attract students from around the world to study at The University of Auckland. Reporting to the Deputy Director, International Marketing and Business Development, you will be responsible for providing personal assistance and support to ensure the office runs efficiently and effectively.
This role is fast-paced and varied, and we are looking for someone enthusiastic and well organised to join our International team. This is a busy role and requires candidates to have a flexible and proactive approach to their working environment as no two days are the same. You will be known as a go-to person with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
You will be able to demonstrate capability in managing the Deputy Director’s meetings and travel bookings. You will be the contact point for a team of 14 staff, 9 reporting to the Deputy Director. You will also assist the Marketing team with CRM enquiries and database maintenance. Located with the International Marketing team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in preparing and executing on campus events regularly.
You will be a positive, confident individual who works well as part of a team. You will pride yourself on your commitment to the highest standards of customer service, be adept at managing a variety of stakeholders and exhibit a good understanding and appreciation of other cultures. Your oral and written communication skills will be excellent, as will your interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate initiative and enjoy working in a busy environment whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
Based in New Zealand, you will be tertiary qualified and have a minimum of 1 year administrative experience ideally within the NZ tertiary education sector, or similar complex environment.
