The University of Auckland has embarked on an exciting online teaching and learning resource with the aim of supporting teachers and assisting students to successfully complete NCEA externally assessed standards, starting with Physics and Mathematics.  

We’re looking for a junior to mid-level eLearning Developer with front end web or online learning design and development skills to join the project team.  You’ll work with the Project Manager, Learning Designer, Graphic Designer and content specialists to create engaging online content for secondary school students in the STEM subject areas. Using articulate storyline and other tools, you’ll develop online learning activities and assessments, as well as load and manage learning material on a Learning Management System.

Requisite Experience:

In this role, you’ll need the following:

  • Previous front end web or online learning design and development experience.
  • Familiarity with a range of development tools.
  • The ability to effectively and efficiently deliver projects to required schedules.
  • The ability to work constructively and effectively in a collaborative, team-based work environment.
  • Exceptional multitasking and prioritising skills, in order to successfully meet fixed deadlines.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.


Also an advantage is:

  • Experience with Articulate Storyline.
  • Familiarity with interactive content and animation.
  • Experience working with learning management systems.
