Job Details

We are looking for a qualified and skilled Advisor / Manager to work as management level professional of our Human Resource team to lead the employee relations function. You will be working in a strong employer-employee relations environment; development & implementation of strategic employee relations culture, handling of disciplinary actions and the resolution of employee grievances. You will also coordinate the administration of statutory benefits, such as Employees’ Old-age and Social Security Schemes.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • Provide support and advice to the department heads/supervisors to manage their staff discipline and performance issues including reprimands, show cause notice and terminations. 
  • Lead the Employee Relations activities for department disciplinary cases in line with labor laws and institutional policies
  • Develop strategic employee relations initiatives and prepare recommendations pertaining to the institution-wide policy matters.
  • Oversee progressive discipline formal disciplinary actions in line with the policy and labor laws of Pakistan. 
  • Liaison with the Institutions external lawyer and governmental agencies as and when required
  • Facilitate HR in supervisory capacities ensuring administration of statutory requirements and the schemes.

  • Provide guidance and act as a lead in matters related to discipline and administration of the statutory requirements. 
  • Liaise with government agencies for employee relations activities
  • Supervise holding of independent enquiry in respect of discipline cases as and when required.
  • Monitoring grievance handling of respective cases raised by employee / department
  • Handle employee grievances and provide assistance and guidance in line with the policy
  • Keeping management abreast about latest updates of employee relations
  • Oversee monthly/annual reports in respect of employee relations


Requirements

  • Masters in Business Administration. Bachelors in Law (preferred)
  • Seven to ten years’ of relevant professional experience, including two to three years in a management capacity
  • Experience of handling employee relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Knowledge of Labor Laws of the Country and Human Resource practices
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions 
  • Counseling and analytical skills
