The School of Veterinary Science

The School of Veterinary Science has a rich history having been founded in 1936 and has a reputation for graduating self-reliant, independent and highly capable veterinarians with plenty of initiative and drive. The School has high quality facilities at the UQ Gatton Campus, providing the teaching, research and clinical infrastructure and resources to develop its strong reputation as a leading provider of veterinary training, research and clinical care. The school also maintains a small animal hospital and large animal clinic at Dayboro, north-west of Brisbane.

The role

 This position will provide teaching support and supervision for Bachelor of Applied Science (Veterinary Technology) undergraduate students. This role will involve work and collaboration with the Management and Nursing teams of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) to ensure student learning objectives are met during student clinical placements within the Hospitals.

The person

Applicants must have a Bachelors in Applied Science (Veterinary Technology) degree or equivalent and/or equivalent experience in a supervisory or senior veterinary nursing position.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $ 74,207.07- $79,964.50 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $86,822.27- $93,558.47 p.a.).
