University Management - Office of the Vice-Chancellor

Applications are invited for the position of General Education Coordinator. The role involves working closely with other staff within the office of the Vice Chancellor and staff and students throughout the University to provide proactive administrative and coordination support and advisory services for the programme.

In this position you will coordinate the governance, reporting, administrative and academic activities associated with the planning and delivery of the General Education programme. This will involve preparing and maintaining information for staff and students on the website, assisting staff and students requiring information and advice about the General Education programme, monitoring and reporting on the delivery of General Education and preparing agendas, agenda papers and servicing committees.

To be successful in this role you will bring effective communication skills including report writing, developing information and marketing materials, and the ability to give oral presentations to large groups. Additionally, you will have strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills. You will also able to demonstrate a strong focus on attention to detail and the ability to identify and manage relationships with stakeholders in an academic context.

Our ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or higher, and have previous experience working in the tertiary education sector, and providing information and advice to students. An understanding of the General Education programme at the University would be an advantage.

You will be a proactive, energetic, solutions focused individual who can demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi task and work within a small team environment.
