Research Commercialisation Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to manage a commercialisation portfolio with a focus on life sciences: guiding academics in the strategic use of their intellectual property; assessing technology disclosures for patentability; managing the process for gaining intellectual property protection; advising on development and commercialisation routes for technology; providing commercial inputs to translational funding applications and driving the commercialisation of technology via licenses or company start-up.

Experience of research commercialisation or technology transfer within higher education or of taking relevant technology innovation to market within a commercial environment is essential, as is a degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline and an active network of relevant commercial contacts.
