Senior Accountant

The Finance team currently has an opportunity for a senior finance professional to join the team.  This is a position offering plenty of responsibility and opportunity for you to develop your finance career at the University of Auckland.

We are looking for an experienced, commercially focus accountant to join a group of young professionals.  Reporting to the Financial & Business Manager – Technology, you will work closely with the Finance team and provide financial supports and advice to the internal stakeholders from both Chief Digital Office and Organisation Performance & Improvement Service Divisions. 

You will be responsible for maintaining the financial & management reporting process and ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data reported through the PeopleSoft and Hyperion environments.  Furthermore you will provide support in the day to day finance operational activities in delivering financial support services to key stakeholders within the University of Auckland. 

Ideally, you will hold relevant tertiary and professional qualifications in accounting, coupled with experience in working in a large complex organisation, and the ability to critically analyse and interpret financial data.   High levels of customer service, ability to build strong work relationships, attention to detail, ability to work with tight deadlines, as well as a continuous improvement focus will be strongly considered.
