Job Details
A collaborative project, led by Prof. Atilla Sik (Neuroscience), seeks PhD student to develop and execute synthetic strategies for the development of a novel imaging modality in neuroscience.
The visual genetics projects aims to establishment of a new discipline to visualise neuronal nuclear functions in real-time in intact nervous system by 4D Raman spectroscopy.
The synthetic chemistry PhD student on this project will be supervised by Dr Fossey (Chemistry) and engage closely with a collaborative team including Prof Mueller (Genetics) and overall project lead Prof Sik (Neuroscience). The main task is to develop the underpinning chemical science that feeds into a wider multidisciplinary, transnational project. Collaboration with research groups in the UK, Germany, Hungary and China are expected throughout the the project.
