Summary: The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations within a class 10k clean room environment. Team Leaders must be fully proficient in the duties required for the assigned manufacturing area. Leaders work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

This hands-on position will report to the Special Processing Manufacturing Manager and will be an integral production team member helping maximize production output, drive continuous manufacturing process improvement efforts, assist with new product introductions, and assuring the effective utilization of equipment and materials while maintaining safety, quality and cost standards aimed at meeting customers’ quality, cost, and on-time delivery expectations.

In addition, the Team Leader provides general instructions on a routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments to employees within the assigned manufacturing area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Team Lead must be able to instruct team members at all levels in the production of various highly complex technical assemblies and/or processes.
  • Provide accurate production and quality output updates to various support functions.
  • Organize teams for verification and reporting of inventory cycle accuracy.
  • Assists Engineering staff in refining test protocols and design of equipment.
  • Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish daily/weekly goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts within the assigned department area.
  • Must be able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Must be able to independently troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Must be able to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  • Must be responsible for the day to day tasks associated with overseeing a small manufacturing business unit such as priority scheduling, labor tracking, training, and order fulfillment.
  • Must be able to monitor and assess performance of yourself or other individuals to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Must be able to train others on standard procedures and work tasks.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Manufacturing Manager.
