Finance Director, FP&A- Biotech

We are currently shortlisting candidates for a start-up biotech in the Zurich area. The company are rapidly expanding with new operations opening across Europe. We are looking for experienced finance professionals from the Pharmaceutical/Biotech area, with an entrepreneurial spirit, who can help drive the business in Europe and globally. This role is fantastic for someone wanting to build up operations from the beginning and to be involved in a commercially savvy biotech company with great potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help lead and manage regional finance functions with full accountability for the financial deliverables for Europe. Ensuring financial resources are planned and internal departmental requirements are achieved.
• Key responsibility for FP&A for EMEA
• Hands on input as well as strategic input while the company grows (Helping to set up the department)
• Develop a robust revenue recognition system, including policies and procedures, to ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting principles, proper governance requirements, and company policies
• Help strengthen the role that Finance plays in steering the business while continuing to deliver accurate and timely financial information

Key requirements:

• Over 10 years experience in FP&A
• Must have current experience working in a pharmaceutical company/ Biotech in a senior finance role (We cannot consider candidates from Medtech, FMCG, Consumer or non Pharma)
• Currently based in Switzerland
• EU and Global experience
• The desire and energy to work in a start-up environment (Mix of hands on and strategic work)
