Job Details
The School of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science invites applications for positions as Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer.
Minimum Requirements:
The required qualification is a PhD in chemistry or equivalent. The candidate would preferably have an interest in one of the core research areas of the School of Chemistry at the University (www.wits.ac.za/science/schools/chemistry/research/) including:
Computational Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Mass spectrometry.
Key Performance Areas:
Overall responsibilities would include the teaching of general chemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and the establishment of an independent research programme.
Key Competencies:
The ability to work in a team environment would be an advantage. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
Remuneration:
