West Point Technical Services is seeking highly motivated individuals to partner with Operations, Engineering Maintenance & Utilities, Vaccines Process Development & Commercialization, and Quality Operations to meet the current and future manufacturing initiatives for Vaccine Manufacturing. This individual will be part of a facility design, construction and qualification team expanding the existing capabilities of polysaccharide manufacturing at the West Point site. Primary duties of this role include: development of equipment/automation requirements, small scale process trials, development and execution of qualification/validation requirements, technical transfer of the process to manufacturing, and the development/submission of associated regulatory submissions. Limited off-shift or weekend coverage may be required based on specific assignments. Additionally, occasional travel of short duration may be required.
Qualifications
Education:
*
Candidates should have a BS/MS in chemical engineering, the biological sciences or related discipline with solid academic record and/or relevant work experience.
Required Experience:
*
Two (2) years relevant work experience, including manufacturing technical support or development of biologics / sterile products.
*
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
*
Strong problem-solving, communication and team-work skills
Preferred Experience
*
Strong preference will be given to candidates possessing previous startup, process chemistry or polysaccharide manufacturing experience as well as those with demonstrated leadership, six sigma and/or lean manufacturing skills.
