This post offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with training in health economics and who has a particular interest in randomised controlled trials to develop their career as an academic health economist. You will join the successful UKCRC-registered Clinical Trials Unit (Bristol Randomised Trials Collaboration) within the University of Bristol and will also be a member of the Health Economics at Bristol (HEB) team. The main purpose of this job is to contribute to the BRTCs portfolio of high quality clinical research, particularly in the use of economic evaluation methods within randomised controlled trials.

It is expected that you will have a Masters degree or PhD in health economics or closely related discipline and experience of applied research in the NHS. Candidates will need enthusiasm, excellent numeracy and writing skills and to be keen to work within multi-disciplinary teams to develop and conduct high quality research.
