Job Overview
The Director of FAS position will be responsible for managing a team of Field Application Scientists throughout the Americas. We are looking for someone with drive, passion and a competitive spirit. Our ideal candidate will have experience in managing a team of software pre sales personnel who are supporting our inside and outside sales teams. The Director should have experience and a strong understanding of the business intelligence/analytics market as well as the data connectivity and unification markets. The Director should also have deep technical knowledge as well as strong business skills in order to help his team apply PerkinElmer's capabilities to solving customer business initiatives and issues. We are looking for a team player, with customer relationship building skills, who is hardworking, smart and loves to win.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

• Access your teams capabilities and gaps in order to align their skills to the needs of the business
• Develop and implement plans to continually improve your teams skills and capabilities
• Provide on-going mentoring in order to ensure that your team continues to perform at the highest level
• Engage and coordinate with other departments within the organization in order to ensure that the appropriate resources are being applied to ensure our customers success
• Engage and coordinate with other departments within the organization in order to ensure that our products are continuing to meet our customers changing needs
• Coordinate and schedule Field Application Scientist (FAS) resources in support of selling activities
• Roll up your sleeves and get directly involved in specific sales opportunities
• Perform product presentations and demonstrations
• Assist in the ongoing development and refinement of PerkinElmer Informatics' go-to- market strategy
• Assist in the development of presentation and demonstration materials
• Work with PerkinElmer's implementation teams to scope out implementations and ensure that we're always exceeding expectations
