ITC Import/Export Coordinator

Role Purpose
This position will be responsible for the PerkinElmer Shelton site’s import and export activities as well be involved in implementing new policy or regulations to support the manufacturing site’s existing business structure. The ITC Import/Export Coordinator will work closely with the site’s purchasing and engineering teams with import/export classifications; ensure compliance with other U.S. government requirements (FDA, FCC, TSCA); and the documentation and expediting of goods.

This position will work closely with the ITC Shared Services team to ensure that controls are measured and reported while identifying corrective action or process improvement opportunities.

The ITC Import/Export Coordinator reports to the Manager, ITC Operations – Shared Services and is part of PerkinElmer's CTC.

This role will be based out of the Shelton, CT site.

Day-to Day Responsibilities:

• Import/Export Management System: Manage import/export procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with PerkinElmer policies and US trade compliance regulations.
• Broker and Freight Forwarder Interface: Respond timely to day-to-day brokerage inquiries for the Shelton, CT site (track and trace) and including missing or incomplete information. Manage HTS broker database.
• Classification: Manage and maintain classification worklist for Shelton, CT site and support the classification process for the One Source Business.Act as back-up for ITC Import and Export Specialist positions.
• End of Quarter/Year End support to operations.
• Participate in global meetings to represent the Shelton site’s compliance activities.
• Attend yearly seminars pertaining to new regulations and policies which may affect the site.
