Applications Engineer, Industrial Coatings, Zurich

This is a great opportunity to join a large international industrial coatings manufacturer in the Zurich area of Switzerland who offer long-term careers and were recently voted one of the top 5 employers to work for in Switzerland in a national employment survey. The company develop and manufacture industrial coatings systems for transport applications including rail freight and trucks as well as some industrial automotive vehicles, so you will get experience working with a diverse range of vehicles in your time with them.

They currently have a role available as an Applications Engineer with responsibility for providing technical customer support, applications testing and acting as the central point of contact for products liasing between Sales, Development and Marketing, so you will have a huge amount of variety in your day-to-day work. You will also get the chance to work closely with customers which will require travelling up to 30% to perform customer visits, so you will get to build relationships with partners off-site, allowing you to build your own network of contacts in the transport & automotive industries.

You will be working as part of a young, motivated and vibrant applications team who have a fun but hard-working ethos, so your work will be enjoyable but challenging, ensuring you get the most of your work life. With an average age of 35 years old, it's a team with a lot of expertise from different coatings areas and a lot of pooled technical knowledge, so it's a great place to learn and develop new skills for the future.

Requirements:

• Practical Qualification as Lackingenieur
• Minimum 2 experience in Applications Testing
• Project Management skills preferred but not essential
• Previous experience working with 2k (2 component) coatings systems of real advantage
• Fluent German required for day-to-day work. Confidence in English preferred.
