Are you an experienced and influential academic with the proven ability to carry out teaching and research in Fashion Design and related topics? Do you have an excellent research track record, proven success obtaining funding and the vision and drive to tackle new challenges? Are you passionate about delivering world leading research and an exceptional student experience?

The School of Design is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Fashion Design who will contribute strongly in all aspects of research and teaching and provide academic leadership. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellence in the planning and delivery of an innovative learning and teaching experience in the Fashion Design discipline with particular emphasis in the design process and garment manufacture.

The candidate will join a successful and growing group of researchers and will be expected to collaborate with colleagues, both internally and externally, and develop research leading to publications in internationally recognised journals and/or practice-based exhibitions. The School has established a broad portfolio of Design-focused programmes and the successful candidate will be expected to not only contribute to research and teaching but also shape the academic agenda and engagement with industry.
